
A Mexican man is was arrested and accused of abducting and raping a 15-year-old New Jersey girl as he was trying to transport the teen to Chicago.
Juan Carlos Morales-Pedraza was captured by the Ohio Highway Patrol on Tuesday afternoon and charged with abduction, a third-degree felony.
According to the Toledo Blade, Morales-Pedraza and the girl did not have identification when they were stopped by the Ohio Highway Patrol on Tuesday afternoon.
They were pulled over after they failed to move over on the Interstate.
OHP officials suspected that the girl had been raped, and after doing a little sleuthing, discovered that she had been entered into a missing juvenile database out of Patterson, New Jersey.
The victim was transported and taken to an area hospital.
Morales-Pedraza, who is in the country illegally and had been previously deported, is currently incarcerated at the Lucas County Jail.
