Police want to arrest man caught on video punching MAGA recruiter

Campus police for the University of California-Berkeley want to arrest a man who punched a conservative recruiter at a homemade “This is MAGA Country” booth.

Cell phone video shows the assault that took place on February 19th.

According to the Washington Times, the victim is Hayden Williams, a conservative recruiter.

UCPD says it has closed its investigation and is seeking an arrest warrant from the Alameda County District Attorney.

Police have identified the suspect, but have not revealed his name.

UC Berkeley saw three violent incidents between conservatives and liberals on its campus back in 2017.

The largest happened outside a planned speaking event featuring conservative activist and Trump supporter Milo Yiannopoulos.

The event was canceled due to safety concerns, but the police ended up responding in riot gear and arresting dozens of people.
