The Union representing Kenosha, Wisconsin police officers says they have a detailed account of what happened before the controversial shooting of a black man seven times in the back.
According to a report given to NPR, Jacob Blake “forcibly fought” the police officers who attempted to arrest him, and put one of them in a headlock.
The report states officers then tried to tase Blake twice to subdue him, with both having no effect.
The Union states that most of the accounts given are “wholly inaccurate” and mostly false. It is also claiming some of the little details released by the Wisconsin Department of Justice is “riddled with incomplete information.”
The attorney representing Jacob Blake’s family says the Union is trying to skew the narrative, and that the officers were the aggressor in the situation.
Blake is still in the hospital and is paralyzed from the waist down to the injuries.
