A Metro Nashville Police officer is recovering from his injuries after being dragged by a reckless and illegal ATV as it drove near the city’s St. Patrick’s day parade route.
The incident was caught on security camera.
According to CNN, about 100 dirt bikes, motorcycles, ATVs, and four-wheelers drove down the street in downtown Nashville Saturday afternoon.
They were seen weaving in and out of moving and parked vehicles and endangered the lives of both drivers and people on the sidewalk.
Sgt. John Bourque was trying to stop one of the ATVs when he was hit and then dragged by the driver.
Bourque has been released from the hospital and is resting at home.
Police are still searching for the driver.
