A Michigan police chief’s pride is on thin ice after winter conditions led to him shooting himself in the foot.
Carelton PD Chief Roy Johnson allegedly slipped on ice and shot himself in the foot, resulting in a “through-and-through” wound that needed relatively minor medical attention.
“It is a minor gunshot wound,” reported Carleton Village President Larry Buckingham.
According to The Monroe News, Johnson was responding to a call of an unlawful entry when he fell, and discharged his firearm as he slid to the ground.
The suspect was apprehended, and the Chief is expected to recover from his self-inflicted wound.
