A North Carolina police captain had some fun trolling a pair of phone scammers who threatened to arrest her for money laundering and drug trafficking.
Apex police filmed the interaction between Captain Ann Stephens and the scammers.
Captain Stephens identified the call as a scam immediately and started to toy with the callers by refusing to give out her information.
At one point, Captain Stephens played a joke on the scammers by giving the address to police headquarters instead of her actual home.
According to WCNC, the scammers insinuated that they were going to send a sheriff’s deputy to arrest her for having 25 illegal bank accounts open under her name.
After refusing to cooperate a “supervisor” was put on the line to continue the threats. Once Captain Stephens exposed the scammers they immediately hung up.
The video ends with Captain Stephens reminding people to not give out their information.
