In a foolish attempt to elude police officers in Madera, California, 23-year-old Jose Espinoza spray painted his face black.
Corp. Josiah Arnold told CNN that Espinoza fled to his home after he became aware police were in the area investigating a stolen parked car. Following information gathered at the scene, officers went to Espinoza’s home to apprehend the suspect.
Espinoza might have been able to dodge officers a little bit longer if not for one crucial miscalculation.
“He spray-painted his face black and attempted to hide against a white wall in the home’s yard,” Arnold said.
According to ABC News, the spray paint bottle has been turned over for evidence and Espinoza will face charges of possession of stolen property and theft of a vehicle.
