A Phoenix police officer was shot multiple times during a traffic stop early Wednesday morning. Fox10 is reporting that one of two suspects is a white, heavy-set man, and that police have located the suspect’s vehicle.
The officer, who has not yet been identified other than being an 8 year veteran of the force, was rushed to the hospital where he is now in serious, but stable condition. Chief Jeseph Yahner told reporters, “thank goodness he was wearing his vest,” as the shots struck his body armor.
