The United States Postal Service, along with the ATF and other agencies are inspecting an incident where a package containing an explosive device was shipped to the home of a California police officer.

“On Friday, a parcel was delivered to a home in Alameda and it did detonate,” said U.S. Postal Inspector Jeff Fitch.

Fitch would not comment if there are any suspects in custody or where the parcel was mailed from and why.

The blast reportedly injured one woman who was living in the home, the unintended victim of a sinister delivery mean for the male homeowner, who just so happens to be in law enforcement.

“I think he works around Alameda. He’s very nice,” neighbor Maricar Rodriguez told ABC7.

Federal, County and City agencies are assisting in the case.
