A St. Paul police officer got the opportunity of a lifetime thanks to a YouTube influencer.

Alex Choi, who is part of the Savage Garage YouTube channel, was in Minnesota last month for a car rally and made a deal with an officer while at a local gas station. The officer gets to take Choi’s Lamborghini for a spin if the officer lets Choi take the patrol car for a lap. The officer, who does not get named, immediately said yes.

Choi even pointed out to the officer, “You’re probably going to get fired for this,” to which the officer responded, “as long as I get YouTube famous.”

The video never shows Choi getting in, or driving the patrol car, but does show the officer get behind the wheel of the high-priced sportscar.

It as appears the officer will face no repercussions for taking the joyride while on-duty.

According to WCCO, the St. Paul Police Department responded to the video by saying, “Community engagement comes in many forms. We encourage our officers to build relationships—but not everyone has the opportunity to drive a Lamborghini.”
