A former teacher in Oklahoma reportedly sent inappropriate images and video to a teenage lad in her school district- leading to a warrant for her arrest.

Ivy Reneau, who is 28 as of the time of this article’s publication, was a teacher at Midwest City Middle School in Midwest City, reportedly sought out the teen while serving as an assistant soccer coach.

Reneau reportedly learned that the 16-year-old boy “liked her and wanted to watch her run,” prompting her to reach out to him on Snapchat.

“Oftentimes with young people and our teachers there’s an implied sense of trust,” Patrick Allmond, a social media expert, told KFOR. “One of the advantages of Snapchat has been that it’s very short, it’s very quick and then it disappears and theoretically, it’s gone forever.”

Reneau then sent the teen five pieces of explicit media, consisting of four nude photos and a video.

Reneau told police that while she sent the images, she never went through with a physical relationship.

Reneau’s social media page also indicates that she is a veteran of the US Armed Forces.

The Mid-Del School District sent KFOR the following statement:

“District officials were notified of an alleged relationship between a Mid-Del staff member and a student. We reported the information to law enforcement so that they could begin an investigation. The staff member is no longer employed by Mid-Del Schools, and we have worked closely with the family of the student in the wake of this accusation. We will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities.”

Reneau, who has yet to be arrested, will be charged with for Using Technology to Engage in Communication for Sexual or Prurient Interest with a Minor, which is a felony.
