An Ohio sheriff is being compared to a cartoon character on social media after a photo of his most recent Fox News appearance went viral.

Sheriff Richard Jones is the sheriff of Butler County in Ohio. He’s been the sheriff there for 12 years and is known for his signature white cowboy hat.

The pro-Trump sheriff was on Fox News commenting about the Russian invasion of Ukraine when a Twitter user took a snapshot and photoshopped his cowboy hat to exaggerate it.

Twitter immediately pointed out the sheriff looked like Doug Dimmadome from the cartoon, “Fairly OddParents.” The character is a featured villain in the show and often introduces himself by name and whatever company he owns.

“Fairly OddParents” ran for 10 seasons between 2001-2017 on Nickelodeon.

Butler County is located north of Cincinnati and has a population of roughly 390,000. Sheriff Jones is a frequent guest on Fox News who is known for his hardline right-wing opinions.
