Louisville police have released bodycam video of an officer-involved shooting where a man went for a gun with three officers in a bedroom and one of them didn’t make it out alive.

According to WLKY, the shooting took place on October 26th. Officers were called to a home in the Clifton Springs neighborhood when a homeowner stated Ivan Foster was asked to leave, though specifics on why were not given.

Three officers were present as Foster began gathering his personal belongings.

While he was gathering some of his shirts, Foster decided to reach for his gun, which was hidden underneath the pile. One of the officers immediately reached and grabbed his hands as Foster attempted to fire off a round or two.

One of the bullets struck Officer Tom Seabolt’s radio, but not the officer himself.

Another officer, identified as eight-year veteran Timothy Lanham, then returned fire and shot Foster multiple times.

Foster was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Department is currently finalizing its report of the incident.

None of the officers were injured during the incident.
