Erie police officers had to dodge a vehicle from crushing them as they attempted to arrest a man. That suspect then somehow drove up a guardrail and over top of a police cruiser, all in an attempt to escape.
According to Erie News Now, the incident took place early Wednesday morning. Police were attempting to arrest David Schubert after they saw him drive down the wrong lane of a road. When police tried to pull him over, Schubert sped up before being cornered.
Officers can be heard yelling at Schubert to shut off the vehicle and to get out, but he refused and pressed on the gas pedal to ride his car up a guardrail and over top of a police cruiser.
A second pursuit was then underway, though it ended shortly and Schubert gave himself up.
He faces a long list of charges including DUI, aggravated assault with a vehicle, and others.
