A driver near the town of Lakewood in Washington state found an unusual foreign object stuck in his car.
According to a Facebook post by the Washington State Patrol, an individual was driving down Interstate 5 when they noticed a small “black object” flying through the air.
“When the driver stopped for gas (about 18 miles later), they saw this stuck in their bumper,” the post said, referencing the Springfield XD handgun.
Troopers recovered the firearm and turned it over to the Lakewood Police Department.
