A female officer is suing NYPD for derailing her career and allowing a topless photo to circulate amongst NY’s finest.
According to the NY Post, Alisa Bajraktarevic joined the force in 2012 and began dating a lieutenant soon after. She sent the lieutenant a topless photo of herself during the romance. The relationship soon sputtered out.
Bajraktarevic thought she was clear of any backlash until she attempted to interfere with a traffic stop involving her then-drug-dealing boyfriend. That earned her a suspension.
She’s continued to maintain her position at NYPD and earn extra cash as a fitness influencer.
Now that long-forgotten topless photo is showing up on other officer’s phones and she’s hearing the whispers in the locker room.
The police union told her not to file a complaint saying this wasn’t the first nor last time this situation has happened.
The “illegal invasion of privacy” highlights the NYPD’s “disregard for the treatment of its women officers,” said her attorney, John Scola.
Bajraktarevic says in the lawsuit she was also sexually harassed in 2022.
NYPD has not commented on the litigation.
