A California patrol officer had a medical emergency processing an unknown substance forcing the entire Sunnyvale Police Headquarters to be evacuated for roughly eight hours.
The officer was treated at the scene and was taken to the hospital. He is reportedly in stable condition.
The substance, believed to be Fentanyl, was brought into the building for processing after officers arrested a man for urinating in public.
