A female police officer at the NYPD is under investigation for allegedly interfering in an arrest of her alleged drug dealer boyfriend.
Alisa Bajraktarevic, who is a member of the NYPD Bronx Precinct Robbery Squad, reportedly made quite a scene during a traffic stop over the weekend.
Bajraktarevic is reported to have caused such a ruckus that backup officers had to be called to the location.
The female officer reportedly met her boyfriend at a gym, where they both frequent and pursue a bodybuilding lifestyle.
“Narcotics had been watching him,” a police source said.
“One day they pulled him over. They didn’t know who she was until she stepped up and said who she was.”
“She jumped out and got involved,” a second police source said. She definitely gave them a hard time. They called in for backup. He’s a really bad guy and known to the department.”
Despite being warned by her colleagues to stay away from the guy, Bajraktarevic couldn’t seem to help herself.
According to the New York Post, the officer has since been assigned to desk duty.
“They ended up letting him go, but they dropped a log [Internal Investigations Complaint] on her,” the first source said. “They tell you from day one you shouldn’t be consorting with known criminals. This person eventually is going to use you as a get-out-of-jail card, which is what he did.”
Bajraktarevic denied any wrongdoing on the part of her boyfriend.
“There’s certain things I’m not allowed to speak on as per the department,” she said to a NYP reporter. “But the alleged drug dealer? That’s not under investigation. He’s not a drug dealer.”
