A police officer in Georgia was dragged by a vehicle during a traffic stop, landing him in the middle of busy Atlanta-area highway.
Dunwoody Police Officer Nathan Daley was citing an individual for violating Georgia’s hands-free law when the offending driver suddenly took off, and Daley decided to hang on.
Daley’s backup officer followed the driver, who eventually managed to fling Daley off of his vehicle and into a busy section of interstate.
According to FOX8, the driver continued on and hit several other cars before eventually being captured by law enforcement.
Authorities have since charged the driver with aggravated assault on a police officer and trafficking ecstasy.
Officer Daley is currently recovering at home on medical leave.
