A Texas police officer was caught on camera texting while driving, violating the state’s hands-free law.
The viral video was recorded by a passenger in another car. It shows a Killeen police officer, who was not wearing her seat belt, driving with one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding her phone.
According to ABC 13, Police Chief Charles Kimble says his department is looking into the video saying, “Although, both of these violations are minor in nature, we understand that the expectations that our community expects were not met in this incident.”
The officer could be given a ticket for the violations.
