An off-duty university officer is being hailed a hero for pulling a woman from a burning car after it crashed and turned over on its side.
According to CBS Austin, the woman hit a metal guard rail and flipped her car on her side, causing it to spark and catch fire.
An off-duty St. Mary’s University officer saw the crash and immediately began to kick the windshield out and cut the seat belt to free the woman.
He then dragged her out of the car before the flames could reach either of them.
The woman suffered minor injuries.
