A Pinellas County Sheriff’s Deputy is being hailed a hero for his recent actions while he was just trying to enjoy a beach day with his wife.

According to Fox 13, Anthony LaCorte was at Anclote Island over the weekend with his wife enjoying the water and sunshine. That’s when he noticed a woman screaming at her kids to get back to shore as they began to be swept out to the ocean.

The two boys had been caught in a rip current.

LaCorte, who was on his jet ski, came over and grabbed the boys onto his watercraft before the situation became any more dangerous.

He brought them both back to shore to the relief of the mother.

After the save, LaCorte talked to the boys about the dangers or rip currents and took a couple of photos with them.
