The head of the Police Benevolent Association is telling people to be on the look out for any potential threat because police are being prevented from doing their job by politicians.

According to the NY Post, Pat Lynch is telling people, “keep both eyes wide open” after there’s been a rash of attacks on subway platforms.

“The politicians have made it abundantly clear that they don’t want cops enforcing transit system rules, connecting the homeless with services, engaging with seriously mentally ill people or doing any of the things necessary to prevent these terrifying random attacks,” Lynch said.

This week, a 40-year-old was shoved onto the tracks of an incoming train. She was injured, but was able to avoid certain death.

It was the fourth incident in a month.

NYC Transit President Sarah Feinberg has pleaded with City Hall to have additional officers present at the transit stations, but so far there has been little movement from Mayor Bill de Blasio’s office.

In fact, de Blasio has rebuked Lynch’s statement.

  1. Why are police officers still serving in New York? Leave! If I was in a position of power, I would hire any of you (I know that doesn’t help) because New Yorkers keep voting for idiots like Cuomo – who killed all y’all’s seniors with Covid and tries to blame it on Trump, and DeBlasio who is a tyrant who is so far above you he doesn’t follow his own tyrannical rules! No police officer should support these leftist nuts unless you vote for them. Then we will see the movie, Escape from New York in the real New York.

    • I can answer that one for you. The reason most NY police officers haven’t left is because they care. I know it may not be the politic thing to say but the folks who wear those badges do it because they want to keep their feelow New Yorkers safe. Sure you get some lazy ones, some stupid ones and some down right mean ones but I dare you to look at any other job feild out there and see if you dont have those self same kinds of people. The cops are doing their best to weather this storm and still protect and serve the way they want to in a community that respects them for it.
