An NYPD officer was seriously injured after an overhead garage door fell onto her leg, according to officials.
The 78th Precinct officer was walking into the NYPD garage in order to access a van when the incident took place.
The sliding door came down with enough force to cause severe injuries.
Officers on scene were able to free the officer, utilizing teamwork to dislodge her and keep her stable until EMS arrived.
According to the New York Post, she was transported to New York-Presbyterian Broooklyn Methodist Hospital.
A car jack was later used to prop open the door.
