Three NYPD cops are accused of going too far in a Far Rockaway stunt to surprise a bride- to-be.

The officers conducted a fake traffic stop in Queens on Wednesday –in an elaborate attempt to surprise Sorah Oppen.

Her boyfriend Hudi Coriat had apparently enlisted the officer’s help for the moment he was going to pop the question.

But now the officers may face disciplinary action for taking part in the proposal. The three cops pulled over the couple on a residential road and pretended they were going to make an arrest. Instead the trunk was popped open and out flew balloons and flowers.

When it came time for Oppen to give her thoughtful boyfriend an answer to the life-changing question, she turned to the cops and jokingly said: “Will I get arrested if I say no?”

Oppen said yes and the wife –to-be later told CBS 2 she thinks it’s unfair the cops are being portrayed in a bad light. Most agreed, it was just a little harmless fun.

It’s unclear if the officers were on duty at the time, but some passersby interviewed by CBS 2 said even if they were, it’s not a big deal. In fact, it shows that cops can be fun too, the residents said, and it humanizes them.

The 101 precinct commander is now investigating to determine if any action should be taken.
