Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren and her now estranged husband are now facing charges after unregistered weapons were found in their home during a May raid.
According to Fox News, Warren and Timothy Granison are facing felony charges related to the firearms found inside their Rochester, N.Y. home.
Police raided the home in May while they were investigating Granison for drug trafficking.
Warren has a history of investigations herself. She was once accused of campaign finance violations by using re-election fundraising money for personal use. The investigation found she violated some minor rules, but the heaviest of charges did not stick.
She is also not tied to the drug trafficking investigation according to law enforcement. Shortly after the raid, Warren stated she and her husband had been estranged for years.
The two have a 10-year-old daughter who was in the home at the time police found the unregistered weapons.
Warren was beaten in the Democratic primary by Malik Evans. She can attempt to win a third term as Rochester Mayor through an independent write-in ballot campaign, though that looks unlikely.
