A New York college economics professor and self-proclaimed anti-facist if facing calls for his dismissal after tweeting that it was a pleasure to teach future dead cops.

Mike Isaacson’s entire statement reads, “Some of y’all might think it sucks being an anti-facist teaching at John Jay College but I think it’s a privilege to teach future dead cops.”

The NYPD’s Patrolman’s Benevolent Association President Patrick Lynch condemned the tweets in a statement. “It is absolutely outrageous that an individual who holds and expresses these views could be employed by any academic institution, much less one that counts an overwhelming number of New York City police officers as among its students, alumni and faculty members,” Lynch said.

Isaacson teaches at John Jay Community College. It’s probably time the administration knew how outraged people are about his employment as a professor is.

According to the NY Post, Lynch wrote to Carol Mason, the president of John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and demanded the “immediate dismissal” of Isaacson “on behalf of nearly 50,000 active and retired New York City police officers who are members of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association of the City of New York.”
