A Winston-Salem middle school teacher was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with sexual misconduct with a student.
According to WXII, 32-year-old Carly Kaczmarek faces felony sexual activity and indecent liberties charges.
Kaczmarek, an English teacher, was fired by Walkertown Middle School soon after her arrest.
School officials say the alleged incidents happened off-campus. They did not identify the age or gender of the student.
Kaczmarek was already on suspension by the school for a separate incident, though officials did not provide details.
Kaczmarek is now in being held in jail.
