Virginia’s Norfolk Police answered a challenge by the Texas-based Corinth Police Department, taking on the task of making a wacky lip-sync video.
Corinth PD set the stage by choreographing a lip sync dance to Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the USA,” prompting Norfolk PD to do one to Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk,” complete with shades and as much hip movement as a duty belt allows.
Released on Monday, NPD’s video received not only tens of thousands of shares, but the nod of approval from Corinth PD.
“Norfolk PD responded to the challenge and brought their A game!” Corinth PD responded. “Great song, great choreography.”
According to NBC4i, While Norfolk was good, they lacked the key ingredient to Corinth’s success: an aesthetically on-point officer by the name of Officer Kirkwood, AKA, “Officer Dreamboat.”
Fans were disappointed to learn that Kirkwood was married, with CPD reporting that he is “off the market.”
Following their success, Norfolk PD has since challenged the Virginia Beach Police Department, the Norfolk Constabulary, the Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Dept. and the Seattle Police Department to step up their game and get down with it.
