Florida deputies have released body camera footage of US Women’s Soccer player Alex Morgan and her Orlando City Soccer Club pals being kicked out of Disney World for misbehavior.
Morgan, Donny Toia and Giles Barnes were escorted out of Epcot center after they cut in front of other people in a pub line, causing an argument. They had apparently been drinking there for several hours – a common feat known as ‘drinking around the world.’
The US Women’s Soccer player has her foot in her mouth over the incident, but is otherwise not backing down from assertions that she was defending a friend.
“Although I regret my actions last Sunday while attending the Epcot Food and Wine Festival with my family and friends, the video released today shows that while we were all caught up in the tension of the moment, I was not out of control or highly impaired,” Morgan said. “I used bad judgment and I was simply trying to support my friends.”
Still, video footage shows Morgan being mouthy with officers, shouting racially divisive comments.
“Dude, you guys are lying right now, I can’t imagine what black people go through,” she said. “…We’re getting mouthy. Actually we haven’t said anything curse word-y, we asked why we were being escorted to your room.”
According to the Orlando Sentinel, OCSO officials did not arrest or suggest criminal charges be filed against any of the players after they were escorted from the park.
