A State Trooper in New Jersey has admitted to falsifying records and tampering with evidence to cover up his penchant for pulling women over to ask them out on dates.
37-year-old Marquice Prather has been suspended without pay since being arrested in December and plead guilty on Monday to charges of tampering with physical evidence, falsifying or tampering with records and invasion of privacy.
According to NBC New York, Prather would pull over female motorists for no reason, going through their mobile phones and even copying some of their more intimate photos and videos. Afterwards, authorities claim, he would solicit the women to go on a date with him- or at the very least, give him their phone numbers.
Prather got off relatively easy in the wake of the scandal, with the state recommending that Prather be given probation and be banned from public employment for life.
