New Jersey’s Woodbridge Police have arrested an individual who faked a “slip and fall” at a local business in an attempt to get insurance money.
Alexander Goldinsky, who is 57 years of age, allegedly concocted the scheme in 2018, when he faked a fall at a company he was subcontracted out to.
Goldinsky’s plan was not all that well thought-out, however- authorities reported that a security camera captured him throwing ice on the floor before getting down on the ground and feigning the injury.
Waiting until he was discovered, Goldinsky then filed an insurance claim.
According to WIS, the Goldinsky was arrested on January 15. Charged with insurance fraud and theft by deception, he is due in court on February 7.
