A Nevada Highway Patrolman filming a Public Safety Announcement inadvertently became a witness to what happens when a motorist falls asleep behind the wheel at high speed.
The trooper was doing a safety video concerning emergency lighting and tow vehicles when a drowsy motorist succumbed to fatigue, driving off the road and into a drainage ditch before going airborne.
According to NHP Southern Command’s Twitter page, the driver and passenger of the vehicles survived with minor injuries, thanks to their seatbelts.
“Well this just happened,” the agency wrote.
The video was posted yesterday and already has over 13,000 views.
