NBA player wanted by NYPD for choking woman, punching Good Samaritans at nightclub

The NYPD is looking for a California NBA player after he allegedly assaulted several people at a NYC nightclub.

Sacramento Kings player Matt Barnes reportedly began choking a woman at an NYC nightclub in Manhattan early Monday morning, assaulting a man and a woman when they tried to intervene.

According to the NYPD, Barnes punched the Good Samaritans before fleeing the scene.

A 14-year veteran of professional basketball, Barnes’ team was in town for a Sunday night game against the New York Knicks.

NY1 reports that it is unclear if any of the victims required medical attention.
