If you give a child Coke to take to school, make sure it’s the kind that was invented in Atlanta.
A New Bern woman has been arrested after a child showed up at its elementary school with more than 260 grams of cocaine.
According to the Craven County Sheriff’s Office, a school resource officer at Trent Park Elementary School spotted the drugs in a student’s book bag on March 30. Further investigation verified the substance as cocaine.

Sharae Monique Becton, 27, of Railroad Street in New Bern, has been charged with felony trafficking in cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine and misdemeanor child abuse for allowing the child to possess it.
