The Eugene police department were surrounded by an aggressive crowd trying to interfere with officers making a drug bust Friday afternoon.

The suspect resisted arrest and required multiple officers to hold him, and at one point needed to tase the suspect, while they attempted to put him in handcuffs.

Bystanders screamed ‘police brutality’ over and over again while demanding to know why the man was being detained and became belligerent when officers would not disclose the details of the suspect’s arrest.

As the crowd grew more unruly backup was called and officers had to utilize pepper spray to control the crowd.

According to KVAL, Preston Scott Hancock, 28, was cited for possession of marijuana and Jeffery Don Walton, 29, was taken into custody for resisting arrest and interfering with police.

  1. The police need to start arresting all the fools who decide they want to interfere when someone is being arrested. This crowd swarming when the police are trying to do their jobs is getting ridiculous.

  2. LAW ENFORCEMENT GENERALLY SHOULD BE RESPECTED AND IF THEY TELL YOU TO STEP BACK DO IT AND REMEMBER THEY DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS

  3. They needed to tase several of them and arrest them for interfering with an officer. Especially that mouthy little punk with the camera. Good thing for them my father isn’t still alive and still a cop. This would NEVER be tolerated

  4. No victim no crime. The only criminals I see are the ones initiating violence against someone minding there own business. If I own my body I should be allowed to do whatever I want to my body. The drug war saves no one.

But drugs are illegal so you aren’t allowed to do what you want with your body. Police are legally responsible for enforcing the law. Whether they agree with the law or not. Also, I know people that steal from thier friends, family, and strangers to support their drug habbit. That is not a victimless crime.

  5. everyone of those yelling insults and trying to rush the Police should be arrested for inciting to Riot, interfering with police trying to make an arrest for possession of Marijuana and resisting arrest. This anti police movement has got to stop and Police should have the authority to make sure people like this should be held responsible for inciting to Riot

  6. The guy who said you were safer in Russia should take a trip and try shouting those insults at the cops in Russia. I’d love to see his smart ass mouth get a real beat down and them boys in Russia are just the ones to do it.

  7. this thugs have no respect for law enforcement but if one of them gets shoot they want the police to work to find ho is the shooter , i have a son 26 years old if i ever see him talking to the police like these guarantee the next minutes he wold be picking hes teeth of the ground .but they want respect ,if i was one of the officers i empty a can of pepper spray than sue me later .in the penal code book there is a law if you provoke anyone with words your ass could be put in jail

  8. Well done cops , great self control in the face of a hostile crowd who have no idea what they are talking about. And to the guy that recorded this, you should be ashamed of the abuse you gave, throwing insults that a five year old could think up, grow up.

  9. Throw a net over all these low lives and lock them all up for disorderly. Police should NOT have to tolerate that behavior.
