A New York man was found to be drunk when he parked his car at the New York State Police Academy on Wednesday afternoon, taking a nap in the grass.
49-year-old Patrick French was three times over New York’s legal limit -.28 percent- when he was spotted driving into the parking lot, getting out for what appeared to be a nap when troopers approached him.
Smelling alcohol, the troopers initiated a field sobriety and breath test, which French failed spectacularly.
According to the Times Union, he was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, issued tickets and released to a sober third party.
