Tunica County Sheriff’s race is heating up with new allegations of voter suppression and fraud.
According to WREG, Tunica County Sheriff K.C. Hamp says his opponent had names from 50 dead people and felons who don’t live in the state in order to meet the minimum requirement to run for sheriff.
Sheriff Hamp showed an obituary and death certificate of a man and woman who were on Dennis Allen’s list.
Allen has denied the accusations and says he collected each one personally.
The Tunica County Circuit Court has validated the signatures, but Sheriff Hamp is calling for a state Attorney General investigation.
