The Assistant Director of External Relations (Division of Agriculture) at the University of Arkansas is facing criminal action after she admitted to engaging in sexual activities with a 15-year-old boy.
Stephanie Neipling was arrested on July 13 in Benton County, where she was taken to the local detention center.
The U of A employee reportedly engaged in sexual activity with a teen boy on July 8, while she was visiting the home of a third party.
The sexual encounter took place on a couch, according to Law and Crime.
The next day, Neipling sent explicit photos and messages to the teen.
In a statement, the Rogers Police Department stated that they received a tip two days later.
“[Redacted] stated later on that evening Stephanie had sent him a message via Snapchat stating that he could come next door to her friend’s apartment because she was there alone,” the agency said.
Neipling, who is married with two children, is now looking at losing a lot more than her freedom— her husband has filed for divorce and full custody.
The university employee was held on a $50,000 bond and is facing charges of fourth-degree sexual assault.
