A nursery worker in the United Kingdom was reportedly grooming a 13-year-old boy for sex, all while at the victim’s home.
20-year-old Leah Cordice, who is scheduled to be sentenced at Reading Crown Court next month, was 17 at the time of the crimes. She initially denied five charges of sexual activity with a child, and claimed that the boy had raped her.
Later, she admitted to having sex with the young man in January of 2017, often grooming him for the task by offering him treats or performing sexual acts while he was playing video games.
According to the Mirror, her husband soon found out about the matter, but the affair continued.
Using WhatsApp, Cordice soon made it clear that she was rather needy, and frequently pressed the boy to interact with her when he became distant.
“I want to talk to you,” she wrote. “I want a conversation. You do not talk to me. You are always acting blunt with me. I just want our friendship back. “Your profile picture is cute by the way. It is cute.”
One message, which read “I love you, I love you,” was seen by the boy’s father, which ultimately kicked off suspicions that abuse had taken place.
To make matters worse, the boy had fathered a child with Cordice, who insisted upon unprotected sex. It was only after a DNA test was performed that this was revealed.
Cordice has denied five counts of sexual activity with a child, three which were said to have taken place while she was aged 17 years and two while she was 18 years old.
