Pennsylvania police are currently engaged in a manhunt in Penn Hills this morning, after an armed individual opened fire on law enforcement.
Police from multiple agencies were pulled onto the scene as early as 5AM after an individual reportedly opened fire on officers.
WPXI’s Mike Holden was allegedly told by police to keep his distance as officers searched for the armed individual, with one agency utilizing a drone to try and locate the suspect.
“Just arrived on scene. Police activity along Laketon Rd near Coal Hollow Rd in Penn Hills,” he wrote on Twitter. “Officer on scene just told me to move back. ‘There’s someone shooting over here!’ He was referring to Coal Hollow Rd. We are staying far back in a safe spot.”
According to WXPI, barricades have been set up and residents have been told to leave the area. No officers are reported to be injured.
