A California police department released a compilation of bodycam footage from an officer-involved shooting of a man with a knife in early May.
The videos show 22-year-old Alexander Yepez Ortega being shot by officers after trying to stab an officer.
Ceres Police Department said they received a 911 audio from a woman who said her brother-in-law, Ortega, was threatening her husband with a flip-out knife outside a home.
Dispatchers determined Ortega had a warrant out for his arrest for multiple charges including assault with a deadly weapon and domestic violence from a past incident with Modesto police.
The body-worn camera videos show the Ortega slashing a female officer before being shot on May 10, 2024.
Ceres Police Officer Chrim sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack. No other officers or residents were injured.
