A New Jersey man with an outstanding warrant was forcibly taken into custody in a viral video.

The incident in question shows officers using force as the teen resisted arrest.

According to NJ.com, the incident happened around 2 a.m. Saturday morning.

Officers located Cyprian Luke as he was walking with a group of friends. He had a warrant out for his arrest from a domestic violence case.

When officers attempted to arrest Luke, he did not follow orders and resisted. In the video, recorded by one of Luke’s friends, you can hear the officers yell out for him to roll over, to stop resisting, and to put his arms behind his back.

Officers say they deployed pepper spray, held him down, and did punch him in order to get him to comply.

Dover police say Luke has been charged with assault and criminal mischief.

Police have not released body cam video of the entire incident.

An investigation into the arrest has also been opened.
