Atlanta Police were put on high alert after a man walked into a local Publix loaded with weapons and body armor.
The individual, who had two long guns, three pistols and a ballistic vest, reportedly entered the Atlantic Station Publix grocery store on Wednesday, making a beeline to the bathroom.
Concerned individuals notified the store management, who in turn notified police.
“A witness observed the male and alerted store management, who then notified police,” APD PIO Anthony Grant told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The man was detained for questioning.

It is unknown what the man’s motives were, and he is currently undergoing an interview and mental health evaluation.
