The wife of a Chicago Police officer was forcefully groped outside of a downtown McDonald’s by a man while her husband was inside the fast food restaurant.

According to DNA Info, Assistant State’s Attorney Holly Grosshans said the officer had gone inside the McDonald’s on a Saturday afternoon while his wife and preteen daughter waited outside.

As the pair waited outside the establishment, 29-year-old Gregory Busby approached and grabbed the woman’s groin and “squeezed extremely hard” for several seconds, Grosshans said.

When the victim screamed, a Good Samaritan scared the offender off. The woman ran to get her husband and flagged down two bike patrol officers, who along with her husband, immediately took chase.

During the pursuit, Busby pulled a “box cutter”, but dropped it during his flight from the officers.

After his arrest, Busby would later claim he was taking part “in a game they play in Jamaica”, trying to get the woman’s attention and even offered to pay her $300 for her troubles. According to court testimony, Busby is an Illinois native, not a Jamaican.

Busby, who has prior convictions for aggravated battery in a public place and battery, was charged with criminal sexual abuse.
