A man trying to avoid taking a field sobriety test jumped from an overpass along a busy interstate highway in Tampa, Florida.
The man was reportedly stopped for speeding initially and was talking to police at about 2am on Monday morning.
The officers were trying to administer the test to determine if the driver was drunk, when he just took off on foot.
He only ran a short distance along I-4, then jumped off an overpass — falling onto a grassy median, about 70 feet below – WFLA reports.
He survived the fall but suffered several broken bones and remains in the hospital. Criminal charges are pending.
