Police in California are looking for a man who loitered outside of a residence, creepily standing around and licking doorbell for around three hours.
33-year-old Roberto Arroyo was caught on camera outside of the Salinas home of Sylvia and Dave Dungan.
While the homeowners were out of town, their Ring doorbell captured Arroyo’s disturbing behavior, all as their children slept inside.
The footage from the Ring was so disturbing, the Dungans called the police.
“I thought, ‘Boy, there’s a lot of traffic. 5 in the morning? My son doesn’t get home until 6 a.m.’… Well, then, who the heck is that?” Sylvia Dungan said.
Arroyo also attempted to relieve himself in front of another residence.
“I thought I’d seen it all, but now, this takes the cake,” neighbor Alfred Santos said.
According to WTOC11, Arroyo was easily identified and the Ring camera image was so clear that it made the police department’s work much easier.
“We were pleasantly surprised the image was so clear, to the point that it didn’t take us long to identify this individual,” said Miguel Cabrera with Salinas Police.
Police say that Arroyo could face two misdemeanor charges for petty theft and prowling.
