Man arrested after firing gunshots at police while they pumped gas in Winston-Salem

Police in North Carolina have arrested a man accused of opening fire on two officers while they were pumping gas.

According to a release from Winston-Salem PD, 24-year old Ravon Waltster Rousseua Jr., fired several rounds of gunfire in the officers’ direction — while they were at a gas pump along Rams Drive in Winston-Salem.

He was quickly apprehended and is being charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder, discharging a firearm in city limits, and injury to real property.

Cops reportedly found narcotics near Rousseua’s location and he was also charged with “possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine, possession schedule IV controlled substance,” according to Fox 8.

Both officers are doing ok. Police are asking anyone with more information to call Crime Stoppers or Winston Salem PD at 336-773-7700.
