A Massachusetts man reportedly expectorated on produce at a Kingston grocery store on Saturday.
The Duxbury resident’s actions led to a physical confrontation which ultimately resulted in police being called.
Police don’t believe the man is infected with coronavirus, but sent the man to the hospital as a precaution.
According to the Patriot Ledger, the Kingston Board of Health was contacted and responded to Stop & Shop to ensure public safety.
Kyle Mann, an 18-year-old eyewitness from Pembroke posted video of the incident to Facebook.
The unnamed man faces the following criminal charges: assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, his foot; assault and battery; and destruction of property.
In addition to potential charges, the offender was informed that he will be charged with trespassing if he returns to the Kingston store.
