Two Louisiana teens are sitting in an Arizona county jail and facing murder charges after police connected them to the murder of an Arizona State University professor.
According to KIRO, 18-year-old Javian Ezell and Gabrielle Austin are accused of murdering ASU professor Junseok Chae, dumping his body at a landfill, and driving his stolen car across the country back to Louisiana.
Chae’s body was recently found after a nearly four month search.
Ezell, Austin, and a third person were found by Shreveport police driving Chae’s vehicle in March. They were not arrested or charged, but identified as suspects early on.
Now with the body, police have formally charged the two with murder.
Police have not determined a motive.
Both Ezell and Austin were extracted from Louisiana to Arizona to face the charges.
